Diverticulosis or diverticulitis is a disease of well  being particularly widespread in industrialized countries. At the origin, in addition to an undoubted genetic predisposition, there is almost always an unbalanced diet too rich in fats and sugars and too low in water and fibres . Let’s see together with our nutritionist Kseniya what is good to bring to the table by proposing an ad hoc weekly menu as an example of a diet for diverticulosis.

Lunch: wholemeal pasta with natural tuna + lettuce and radicchio salad

Snack: almonds + apple with peel

Dinner: grilled turkey + grilled aubergines + bread

Tuesday

Breakfast: low-fat yogurt + bran + almonds

Snack: centrifuged apple , radicchio and celery

Lunch: pureed legumes with croutons + lettuce

Snack: prunes in their skins

Dinner: scrambled egg with agretti + bread

Wednesday

Breakfast: partially skimmed cow’s milk + rusks + apricots with peel

Snack: apple with peel

Lunch: brown rice with anchovies + carrots

Snack: prunes in their skins

Dinner: vegetable minestrone with pasta and cheese flakes

Thursday

Breakfast: low-fat yogurt + bran + pear with peel

Snack: prunes in their skins

Lunch: barley with chicken nuggets , aubergines and courgettes

Snack: centrifuged apple and lettuce

Dinner: centrifuged beans + carrots + bread

Snack: apricots with peel

Lunch: wholemeal pasta with asparagus + baked plaice + chicory

Snack: prunes in their skins

Dinner: speck + lettuce and celery salad + bread

Saturday

Breakfast: low-fat yogurt + bran + almonds

Snack: carrot and apple juice

Lunch: spelled with courgettes + grilled lean veal + onions

Snack: apricots with peel

Dinner: ricotta cheese + grilled zucchini + bread

Sunday

Snack: apricots with peel

Lunch: brown rice with egg and carrots

Snack: centrifuged apple, radicchio and celery

Dinner: vegetable puree + steamed cod + bread
