  • Garlic ( Allium sativum ): useful in the disinfection of the blood, in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and many viral or colds diseases; pressure regulator .
  • Onion ( Allium cepa ): participates in the lowering of LDL cholesterol , decreases platelet aggregation and exerts disinfectant , decongestant and expectorant activities .
  • Cabbages and savoy cabbage ( Brassica oleracea ): contain good doses of vitamin C and other antioxidant substances ; they have a preventive action on colon tumors and, together with garlic, are traditionally used in the prevention and treatment of intestinal parasites .
  • Hot pepper ( Capsicum annuum ) rich in vitamin C. Its most important active ingredient is capsaicin , useful in reducing the risk of arterial occlusion , protecting the bronchi and stimulating the secretion of gastric juices .
  • Fresh brewer’s yeast : rich in group B vitamins (protective of the nervous system , and precious for maintaining metabolic balance) and folic acid (necessary for the production of red blood cells ). It is also an excellent source of potassium , magnesium , phosphorus and zinc .
  • Cod liver oil : rich in essential omega -3 fatty acids : EPA (key element for insulin control ) and DHA (necessary for brain health ). It also contains high amounts of vitamin A (antioxidant) and vitamin D ( anti-rickets ).
  • Extra virgin olive oil : made up of 74.4% monounsaturated fat , 16.2% saturated fat , and a small amount (8.8%) polyunsaturated fat . Monounsaturated fats are considered very useful cofactors in reducing the accumulation of bad cholesterol (LDL) in the arteries.
  • Nuts , oilseeds and dried fruits : Foods rich in omega-6 essential fatty acids .
  • Sprouted seeds: rich in precious enzymes ( amylase , protease , lipase ) and quantity of vitamins (A, B, C, E).
  • Honey , pollen and royal jelly : foods rich in vitamins, enzymes, mineral salts and bioactive substances.
  • Oily fish and fish in general: they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids , proteins of high biological value , vitamins (A, D, B2 and B12) and minerals ( calcium , zinc , iodine and iron ).
  • Aromatic herbs : facilitate digestion by stimulating the secretion of enzymes and the activity of some glands.
